our roots

Having grown up in the Pennsylvania countryside, Megan (Founder & Owner of Peaceful Petals Flower Truck) dreamed of living the big city life. The moment she graduated from college she set her sights on moving to New York City. Who knew the big city life would actually mean 500 sq foot apartments and cheap (but delicious) NYC pizza!

The city was loud and energetic but the one thing that brought peace to her crazy life was stopping by the corner bodega for fresh flowers. The corner stores sold flowers by the stem & allowed you to make your own bouquet rather than having to buy dozens of one kind!

Being a small-town girl at heart, she had a deep-seeded love of fresh, wild flowers. Something about a vase of fresh flowers, she picked out herself, sitting in the middle of her coffee (yes no room for dining room) table made her feel like everything was OK in the world!

Megan wanted to bring that same creative, personal, and peaceful experience to her community one (or a dozen!) brilliant stems at a time!

Peaceful Petals began as a flower truck that popped up on weekends & grew to be a full-time operation at Peaceful Petals Flower Shop in Severna Park!
